Scottish Social Enterprise Academy (SSEA) Visit

On Friday night, Greame Livingstone, a development coordinator for SSEA, visited Westray to meet with the Young Folk who had expressed interest in forming the Peedie Development Trust (PeedieDT). Meeting in the Hofn, the group were given a task to demonstrate the importance of leadership and teamwork and explored these aspects in the world of business enterprise.

Plans to develop the workshops are being arranged, but it is hoped that they will be over 5 Saturday afternoons/evenings, starting in mid September and held in the Hofn or Trust Office. Meals and refreshments will be provided.

There are still places available and even if you have no desire to be involved with the PeedieDT, then you are still very welcome to attend. We would be particularly interested in folk aged 16-18 years old. The courses are endorsed and accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management and would be a stand-out course on your CV.

If you want any further information, then pleas call Andy on 01857 677858 or 07814 333942. You can also ask to join the message board on the Westray Development Trust Facebook page, with all the other participants.
