Five members of the Trust board and staff are intending to visit a range of Development Trusts across the highlands and Western Isles in early July.
With the aim of visiting a number of successful projects which could also have positive outcomes for Westray, the Trust has secured some external funding, through the Highlands and Islands Enterprise to assist with the costs.
So far the Trust has received confirmations from the Development Trusts of; Helmsdale and District, Ullapoool, Horshader, Stornoway, North Harris and Lews Castle College. Other visits are planned, but are yet to be confirmed.
A full report with a development plan will be produced, highlighting what was identified, what was learnt and what the Trust intends to do.
